A re-orientation on the Enhanced CDP Assessment was conducted by DILG Bulacan on November 11, 2021 via Zoom Application. This aims to strengthen the Provincial Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) Team on their roles and functions in the conduct of the said Assessment.

As part of the enhancements made in the existing CDP Assessment Tool/Checklist to integrate Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation (DRR-CCA) indicators/review parameters, the Department has issued an updated guideline on the assessment of CDPs of cities and municipalities through DILG Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2021-037.

Kailangan po ay iisa po ang ating direksyon para madali po nating makamit ang development na ninanais po natin sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan. At hindi lang po basta development, kundi safe po sa [disasters] kung saan ay ready po tayo, prepared po tayo sa mga disaster na pwede pong mangyari”, said PD Darwin D. David.

During the activity, the CDP Component 1: Form and Technical Notes, Component 2: Process and Technical Notes, Component 3: Content, and Component 4: Mainstreaming Concerns, were discussed by LGOO III Jhea M. Gregorio, CDP Provincial Focal Person, OIC-PPDC Mr. Randy H. Po, and Ms. Nerissa Bautista of the Provincial Planning and Development office. LGOO V Paolo Israel S. Franco, CDP Regional Focal Person also attended the activity and provided technical assistance and guidance in the questions and concerns raised by the participants.

Further, the activity was attended by the Provincial CDPTACandTechnicalAssessment Committee Secretariat (TACS), composed of the following:

 

CDP TAC:

a.Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator, as chairperson;

b.Provincial Department Heads and/or their representatives;

c.DILG Provincial Director or DILG Provincial CDP Focal Person;

d.             d. Civil Society Organization (CSO) and/or Provincial Office representative in the Provincial Development Council; and

e.Other members identified by the province.
