Bulacan province celebrates a significant achievement, securing the 8th spot in the national ranking of the most competitive provinces. Additionally, multiple cities and municipalities within Bulacan have excelled, earning positions among the top in the 2023 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI).

2. Doña Remedios Trinidad
• Top 2 for the most improved LGU in Bulacan
-from rank 402 to 188 (+214)
3. Bulakan
• Top 3 for the most improved LGU in Bulacan
-from rank 407 to 196 (+211)

These LGUs were given due recognition by the Provincial Government, together with the Provincial CMCI-TWG, last May 6, 2024 at the Hiyas Pavillion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, City of Malolos, Bulacan.

The remarkable performance of Bulacan and its constituent cities and municipalities in the CMCI underscores their proactive approach to enhancing competitiveness, driving progress, and improving the quality of life for residents and businesses alike.

The Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) is an annual ranking developed by the National Competitiveness Council (NCC) that evaluates the competitiveness of local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines based on various indicators, including economic dynamism, government efficiency, infrastructure, and resiliency. The CMCI aims to encourage LGUs to improve their competitiveness and attract investments by providing them with valuable insights and benchmarks for development.
