The DILG Bulacan, through the Capability Development Section, re-oriented the City and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (C/MLGOOs) of Bulacan on the Review of Barangay Gender and Development Plan and Budget (GPB) and Accomplishment Report (AR) last January 24, 2022, via Zoom Meetings Application.
The activity was conducted to strengthen the capacities of C/MLGOOs of Bulacan in assisting the barangays in the preparation of their GAD Plan and Budget and GAD Accomplishment Report which must be submitted every 31st day of January (for AR) and every 31st day of March (for GPB).
To further strengthen the capacity of the C/MLGOOs, a simulation on the review of Barangay GPB and AR was done by LGOO VI Maria Christine M. De Leon, MLGOO of San Ildefonso, Bulacan and an accredited GAD Resource Pool Member of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW).
Provincial Director Darwin D. David, on his message, emphasized the importance of the said activity. “Tayo bilang mga C/MLGOOs ay nagpapatupad tayo ng mga program kaya kailangan naiintindihan naten at maging mahusay sa larangang ito. Alam naman din naten na mataas ang pagtingin sa atin ng mga kasamahan naten sa LGUs, alam nila na tayo sa DILG ay all-knowing at maasahan”, he said.
Said activity covered the discussion on the salient features of PCW-DILG-DBM-NEDA JMCs 2013-01 and 2016-01 highlighting the essence of Barangay GPB and AR; the roles of C/MLGOOs in the review thereof; and the parameters in reviewing the said plan and AR.
