MALOLOS CITY, BULACAN – The Provincial Government of Bulacan including ten (10) other LGUs in the Province were validated by validators from DILG Region 7 during the National Validation for Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) on August 19-23, 2019.
The SGLG is an assessment tool aims to recognize the remarkable performance of an LGU in different areas. It seeks to institutionalize the continuity of local governance reforms and development.
For the year 2019, the SGLG continued last year’s “All-In” requirements but now more refined. With this Per DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2019-44 dated March 15, 2019 or the 2019 Seal of Good Local Governance: Pagkilala sa Katapatan at Kahusayan ng Pamahalaang Lokal, LGUs must pass the seven key areas: Financial Administration; Disaster Preparedness; Social Protection; Peace and Order; Business Friendliness and Competitiveness; Environmental Management; and Tourism, Culture and Arts.
Among the LGUs validated in Bulacan are the: Provincial Government of Bulacan; City of San Jose Del Monte; Meycauayan City; Angat; Balagtas; Baliwag; Bulakan; Guiguinto; Pulilan; Plaridel; and Santa Maria.
