In line with the continuous efforts of the Department to capacitate Local Government Units (LGUs) on Resettlement Governance, DILG Bulacan, headed by Provincial Director Darwin D. David conducted a Dialogue with the chosen groups to be awarded with start-up capital under the Resettlement Governance- Sustainable Livelihood Program (RG-SLP) last February 21, 2018 at DILG Bulacan Provincial Office, City of Malolos, Bulacan.
The said program is a part of the Resettlement Governance Assistance Fund (RGAF) downloaded to five (5) LGUs in the province of Bulacan namely: City of San Jose del Monte and Municipalities of Bocaue, Pandi, Norzagaray and Balagtas.
During the dialogue, the contents of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) of the RG-SLP were discussed to the local housing officers and beneficiaries of the said 5 LGUs which include the mechanism on how the fund amounting to Php 200,000.00 per resettlement site will be distributed and the roles and responsibilities of both the LGU and the beneficiaries.
At the end of the activity, PD David assured the participants that all of their concerns and recommendations that were addressed will be communicated to the DILG Regional and Central Office.
