DILG Bulacan prepares LGUs for the 2025 LCPC and LCAT-VAWC Assessment
February 19, 2025 | Earlier today, the DILG Bulacan, together with the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (PIMTF), led the provincial rollout for the 2025 functionality assessment of all C/MCPCs, and Local Council Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC). The said activity aims to gauge the effectiveness and functionality of the said local councils in promoting the rights and well-being of children and women.
Also discussed in the orientation are the strategies and capacity-building interventions to assist the Local Government Units (LGUs) to enhance their functionality and performance in these critical areas.
LCPC and LCAT-VAWC functionality assessment tools are based on the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular No. 2021-039. It aims to ensure that the LCPC and LCAT-VAWC meet the standards in establishing safer and nurturing environments for both children and women in the province.
