In pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 63, Series of 1992, declaring the month of October as Local Government Month, DILG Bulacan, headed by Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, CESO V, celebrates the 32nd Local Government Code Anniversary through a kick-off activity called “Kamustahan,” attended by the Department’s personnel and officers on October 2, 2023.
The said activity was a resounding success as it paved the way to discuss the current status of the Department’s PPAs focusing on strengthening ties with the LGUs and fostering public involvement and participation in local governance; and also, for DILG Bulacan personnel to map out subsequent plans and steps to have an early preparation for CY 2024.
Local Government Month is a celebration that aims to commemorate the enactment of the Local Government Code of 1991 and acknowledge the dedication and hard work of public servants who tirelessly commit themselves to serving the country and its constituents. This also aims to highlight the government’s active role in shaping the future of their localities and promoting an improved quality of life for every Filipino.
