   As part of the celebration of the 23rd Local Government Code Anniversary with the theme “Ang LGUng Magaling, May Nararating”, DILG Region III held a Fun Run dubbed as Run for Good Governance on October 16, 2014 at Fontana Parade Grounds, Clarkfield, Mabalacat City, Pampanga. The activity was participated in by personnel from the Regional and Field offices.

   DILG Region III, in its effort to enhance its role for the mobilization and coordination of the application of resources for local governance capacity development, has implemented a second wave of the Webpage Development project for the LGUs in Central Luzon on October 1-3, 2014 and October 8-10, 2014 at Crown Legacy Hotel, Baguio City. The project is an initiative of the DILG Regional Management which jumpstarted in 2013 with the developed official LGU websites as outputs of the project’s first wave. The activity served as a follow-through activity to put more information value on the content of these sites.

   DILG Region 3 awarded cash prizes and plaques to the winners of the photo contest dubbed as “Capturing Good Governance thru the Lens” on October 15, 2014 at Fontana Convention Center, Clarkfield, Mabalacat City. This contest is part of the DILG R-3’s celebration of the 23rd Local Government Code Anniversary which seeks photographs of individuals representing and advocating in action good local governance with this year’s theme ‘Ang LGUng Magaling, May Nararating”.

   Local Chief Executives (LCEs) in Central Luzon graced DILG R-3’s Forum on LGU Best Practices and Disaster Preparedness on October 15, 2014 at Fontana Convention Center, Clarkfield Mabalacat City. This is part of the celebration of the 23rd Local Government Code Anniversary.

    In line with the Grassroots Participatory Process (GPP) for FY 2016 in all 14 cities and 116 municipalities of Region 3 for the next budget year preparation, the DILG as lead agency and chair of the Regional Poverty Reduction Action Team (RPRAT) is mandated to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the program pursuant to the Joint Memorandum Circular no. 5 series of 2014. The DILG Management Team and the GPP Resource Persons had a meeting with the Regional Coordinator – Community Mobilizers (CCMs) on September 29, 2014 at Party Land Restaurant, Barangay Dolores, CSFP.
