DILG Bataan proudly congratulates Brgy. Lote Puerto Rivas of Balanga City and Brgy. San Antonio of Bagac for excelling in the 2024 Barangay Environmental Compliance Audit (BECA). These two barangays have earned the top spots in Bataan and will represent the province at the regional level.
In addition, Brgy. Cupang and Brgy. Pto. Rivas Ibaba of Balanga City placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the city category. Meanwhile, Brgy. Colo of Dinalupihan and Brgy. East Daang Bago of Samal ranked 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the municipal category.
BECA, under the Manila Bay Clean-up Program, evaluates barangays' compliance with the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act (RA 9003). Top performers at the regional level will receive plaques and cash prizes to support their environmental projects.
As Brgy. Lote Puerto Rivas and Brgy. San Antonio advance to the regional competition, we are excited to see them shine and bring pride to the whole province of Bataan!
