                                                In consonance with DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2013-23 dated March 20, 2013, DILG Region 3, led by Regional Director (RD) Florida M. Dijan, monitored the conduct of Barangay Assembly Day in Barangay San Isidro II, Paombong, Bulacan held on March 23, 2013 at Pinagtulayan Elementary School.

 
   The activity was highlighted by the reporting of CY 2012 Accomplishments and Updates on CY 2013 On-going Programs and Projects by Punong Barangay Marcelino de Roxas, Financial Reports by Barangay Treasurer Vicente Marasigan and Major Accomplishments on Youth Projects by SK Chairman Joshua Ana rcon.  PB de Roxas comprehensively discussed the 2012 accomplishments of the Barangay Council of San Isidro II  following the format of the Barangay Governance Performance Management System (BGPMS)  particularly on the areas of administrative, social, economic and environmental governance.

   RD Dijan stated in her message that the DILG, thru its Regional, Provincial and Municipal Offices, serves as a constant partner of the barangays in continuously treading the path of transparency, accountability, responsiveness and participation towards sustaining good governance.  She also acknowledged the support of other national government agencies and other local officials of Bulacan present in the activity.
 
   Mayor Donato Marcos of Paombong, National LMP President and Bulacan Provincial Board Members Michael Fermin and Cherese Cherylll Ople also graced the occasion.  Other guests present were Asst. Regional Director Nigel Lontoc of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region 3, J/Sr. Inspector Edmund Llamasares of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region 3 and officers of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Bulacan.  


   Mayor Marcos, in his message, urged the active participation of all the residents of San Isidro II in the implementation of barangay programs and projects that will further contribute to the development of their barangay and the whole town as well.  Cognizant of their present situation, he expressed his support to address their needs and concerns in the barangay.

   During the activity, Provincial Director Darwin David of DILG Bulacan turned over Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) and Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) handbooks to serve as reference aid of barangay officials and Lupong Tagapamayapa members of Barangay San Isidro II.
