The DILG Aurora Provincial Project Monitoring Team (PPMT), in collaboration with local officials from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Maria, conducted an inspection on February 18, 2025, of the renewable energy-based electrification in Barangay Florida under the FY 2024 LGSF-SBDP Program. The project aimed at improving the quality of life for its residents and the environment.
Through this project, Barangay Florida took significant strides towards fostering community welfare and sustainable development with an allocation of Php. 500,000.00 national subsidy. By achieving its main goal of providing well-lit streets, particularly at night, and reducing a number of potential carbon emissions and energy costs over time, the installation of six (6) solar-powered street lights in Barangay Florida essentially benefits its 2,286 residents by utilizing their environment. This installation highlights the significance of sustainability and welfare in addressing the essential needs of the community.

Given these points, an exit conference was conducted at the Municipal Hall of Maria, Aurora, to discuss findings, ensure its alignment to its intended specifications, and recommend further improvement to key local governments before it was handed over and accepted by its end users.
