Maria Aurora, Aurora - On June 28, 2024, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) - Aurora, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Maria Aurora, spearheaded the conduct of the Workshop on the formulation of Enhanced Barangay Development Plans (eBDPs) for the six (6) RCSP-focused barangays in the Province of Aurora. This initiative is part of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP), which aims to address development gaps in communities, particularly those in conflict-affected and underdeveloped areas.

 

The activity was attended by Punong Barangays, Barangay Secretaries, Sangguniang Barangay members, SK Chairpersons, and CSO members from Barangays of Baubo, Punglo, Baubo, Decoliat, San Juan, and Villa Aurora. MPDC Nicasio G. Gatchalian, En.P., served as Resource Person, while LGOO VI Amado V. Angara, MLGOO of Maria Aurora, and LGOO V Clarissa G. Hess, RCSP Focal Person, facilitated the whole-day activity, together with LGOO II Denn Jennings Angel M. Oviatt and Engr. Rosanna C. Hernandez.

The Enhanced Barangay Development Plan (E-BDP) is a comprehensive tool designed to identify and prioritize development needs within barangays. This plan provides a structured approach to address local issues, from infrastructure improvements to enhancing essential services and economic opportunities. Through the eBDP, the six targeted barangays in Maria Aurora can systematically address their development gaps and chart a path toward sustainable growth.
