Baler, Aurora – The Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (PIMTF) of Aurora conducted the on-site validation for the C.Y. Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) using 2022 performance data on April 03-12, 2024.
The said on-site validation helped the PIMTF to further verify the compliance of the 8 Local Government Units (LGUs) in implementing child-friendly policies and mechanisms that promote children’s welfare. The CFLGA measures LGUs’ performance using 5 criteria, namely, Survival, Development, Protection, Participation, and Governance. CFLGA Criteria cover indicators on planning, budgeting, legislation, and service delivery for children.
The CY 2023 CFLGA on-site validation were conducted on the following dates:
• LGU Dingalan on April 03, 2024;
• LGU-San Luis and LGU-Maria Aurora on April 05, 2024;
• LGU-Baler and LGU-Dipaculao on April 08 2024;
• LGU-Dinalungan and LGU-Casiguran on April 11, 2024; and
• LGU-Dilasag on April 12, 2024.
Results of the evaluation and other observations were presented to the members of the Municipal IMTF during exit conferences citing priority areas to improve in planning and programming to uplift situation of children. The initial result of the on-site validation provided an improved level of performance of LGUs compared to last year.
The PIMTF initiated activity was aimed at minimize errors, deficiencies, and revisions during the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance – Knowledge Management System (SCFLG-KMS) implementation at the municipal level.
Results of the audit are expected to be released early part of the second semester of 2024. The PIMTF, chaired by the Department of the Interior and Local Government, is represented by LGOO V Bon Paby P. Mingua of DILG Aurora Provincial Office; Ms. Charlene Jane C. Saturno of PSWDO – Social Worker; Ms. Marites Delos Trinos, PSWDO – ECCD Focal Person; AAVI Adonis Jake Bihasa of PPDO; and Stat I Marilou P. Reopta of PHO.
