The path towards inclusive governance gained momentum on February 5, 2026, as the DILG Regional Team launched a strategic consultation series with the Municipal Governments of Guiguinto and Plaridel, Bulacan.

 These visits mark the beginning of an intensified effort to harmonize the synergy between Local Government Units (LGUs) and civic leaders. By establishing direct lines of communication, the initiative ensures that community-led organizations transition from passive observers to active partners in the decision-making process.

Through this partnership, the region is putting into reality the core principles of the Open Government Partnership (OGP)—transparency, accountability, and citizen participation. It also marks the start of a transformative vision of establishing a CSO Academy designed to institutionalize as a primary learning hub for Civil Society Organizations in the region.

With these stakeholder forums, regional and local leaders are aligning their visions to foster a culture of mutual trust. This collaborative framework is laying the groundwork for a governance model where every citizen's voice is not only represented but truly heard.
