As one among the mandamus agencies tapped in the Manila Bay Clean-Up Rehabilitation and Preservation Program, the DILG Pampanga joins the City-Wide Clean-Up Day of the City Government of San Fernando on February 1, 2015, Monday.

With the fiery will to help the community in a simple but meaningful way, the DILG provincial and field office personnel, led by Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, equipped themselves with broomsticks, recycled dust pans, and sacks to sweep the busy streets and alleyways of the San Fernando downtown.

They have also demonstrated and informed the passersby and nearby stores on the proper waste segregation, that it should emanate from the source point, to contribute on the solution of the waste disposal problem of the Province.

PD Fabia also stressed the importance of segregation, recycling and proper waste disposal on the maintenance of cleanliness in the City, as well as the clearance of waterways which shall help to mitigate the flooding experienced during the onslaught of storms.

City Mayor Edwin D. Santiago said on his speech on the flag raising ceremony before the clean-up activity that the City Government and Fernandinos are thankful for the support and commitment of DILG Pampanga on programs that promote cleanliness and welfare of the community.
