The Province of Nueva Ecija reaffirmed its strong commitment to disaster resilience as 24 out of its 33 Local Government Units (LGUs), including the Provincial Government, were awarded during the RDRRMC3 Regional DRRM Recognition Ceremony held on December 5, 2025 at the Laus Group Event Centre, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
These 24 LGUs successfully passed the Gawad KALASAG—KAlamidad at Sakuna LAbanan, SAriling Galing ang Kaligtasan—the country’s premier platform for recognizing institutions and individuals that demonstrate exemplary dedication to building safer, climate-resilient, and disaster-ready communities.
The DILG and the Department of National Defense, through the Office of Civil Defense, encourage all LGUs to sustain and further strengthen their preparedness and disaster risk reduction measures, ensuring that every community in the region remains proactive, resilient, and equipped to address natural and human-induced hazards.
