11 December 2025 – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Nueva Ecija, headed by Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, participated in the 4th Quarter Joint Meeting of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) for Calendar Year 2025, conducted via the Zoom Meetings platform.
Presided over by the Honorable Governor Aurelio M. Umali, the meeting served as a venue for the discussion of updates on disaster risk reduction and management, as well as the peace and order situation in the province.
One of the highlights of the activity was the deliberation and approval of the Province’s CY 2026–2028 Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan, as presented by LGOO V Kristian Rob D. Santiago, Monitoring and Evaluation Section Chief of DILG Nueva Ecija.
The POPS Plan is a vital strategic document that serves as the province’s roadmap in strengthening peace, public safety, and security through coordinated, data-driven, and multi-sectoral interventions, ensuring aligned actions among concerned councils and partner agencies.
LGOO II Lyka P. Dimalanta, POC Team member of DILG Nueva Ecija, facilitated the presentation of the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO), which provided a comprehensive update on the province’s peace and order situation for the 4th quarter of 2025.
