LGSF Utilization Status
The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region III, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), spearheaded a workshop on Strengthening the Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADACs) on November 7, 2014 at the DILG III Regional Office, Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The workshop, which aims to formulate an assessment system to measure the functionality of the ADACs of all the LGUs in the region, was attended by representatives/agents from PDEA headed by Dir. Jeoffrey Tacio and representatives from Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (RAIDSOTG) of the PNP RO3.
DILG Regional Director Florida M. Dijan in her message mentioned the various drug related cases that recently made the news. She stressed that the drug menace cannot be solved by law enforcers alone, it is a shared concern and that the involvement of the communities is necessary.
The workshop was also participated in by DILG Filed Officers headed by Dir. Abraham A. Pascua, Provincial Director of DILG Nueva Ecija and concurrent ARD of DILG R-III.
