In a show of unity and commitment to effective local governance, the Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines (VMLP) – Nueva Ecija Chapter successfully held its Provincial Chapter Elections on July 30, 2025, at the Governor’s Hall, Old Capitol Building, Cabanatuan City. The activity was facilitated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Nueva Ecija.

The event was formally opened by Science City of Muñoz Vice Mayor Nestor L. Alvarez, who served as the Interim President of the chapter. In his welcome remarks, Hon. Alvarez expressed his appreciation for the active participation of Vice Mayors and presented the objective of the activity—electing a new set of officers who will lead the provincial chapter for the term 2025–2028.

On behalf of DILG Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, LGOO VII Danilo C. Rillera, Cluster I Team Leader of DILG Nueva Ecija, presented the election procedures and assumed the role of Acting Chairperson of the VMLP Comelec. He was joined by Palayan City Vice Mayor Romaric S. Capinpin and Peñaranda Vice Mayor Genefer DG. Aves as members of the VMLP Comelec.
