LGSF Utilization Status
A new chapter of peace and progress unfolds in Nueva Ecija as the province has been officially declared under Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) during the Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) held on October 29, 2025, at Sierra Madre Suites, Palayan City.
The event marked a significant milestone in the province’s continuing pursuit of lasting peace and development. It signifies that the threat of insurgency has been successfully reduced to a manageable level—paving the way for strengthened local governance, empowered communities, and sustained socio-economic growth for every Novo Ecijano.
The ceremony was led by Acting Governor Hon. Gil Raymond M. Umali, Acting Chairperson of the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC), and BGEN Eugenio Julio C. Osias IV, Commander of the 703rd Infantry (Agila) Brigade, 7th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, together with BGEN Mario Jacinto, Assistant Division Commander of the 7th Infantry Divisio, PCOL Reynaldo S. Ogay Jr., Deputy Regional Director for Operations, PRO3, LTGEN Aristotle D. Gonzales, Commander of the Northern Luzon Command, Philippine Air Force, DILG Nueva Ecija Cluster I Team Leader LGOO VII Danilo C. Rillera, NEPPO Provincial Director PCOL Heryl L. Bruno, and the Local Chief Executives of Nueva Ecija.
This declaration stands as a testament to the province’s collective resolve to preserve peace, strengthen law enforcement, and uphold good governance for the benefit of all Novo Ecijanos. Indeed, when peace thrives, development follows.
