LGSF Utilization Status
14 November 2025 – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Nueva Ecija, under the leadership of Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, conferred awards to barangays and city/municipal sanggunians in the province that demonstrated exemplary performance under the 2025 Barangay Environmental Compliance Audit (BECA) and the 2025 Local Legislative Awards (LLA).
Provincial Director Tactac led the awarding of wooden plaques produced through DILG Nueva Ecija’s very own Uhay Craft Shop. Joining him were LGOO VII Danilo C. Rillera, Cluster I Team Leader and OIC-CLGOO of Gapan City; LGOO VII Louie C. Manarpiis, Ph.D., Cluster II Team Leader and OIC-CLGOO of Cabanatuan City; LGOO VI Donnabel E. Estipular, Program Manager; and members of the Provincial Audit Committee. Officials and functionaries from concerned sanggunians and barangays likewise graced the event, supported by their respective DILG Field Officers. The following awards were conferred to barangays that showcased outstanding performance in environmental management, as well as to sanggunians that demonstrated legislative excellence: 2025 Barangay Environmental Compliance Audit (BECA) City Category • Regional 2nd Placer and Provincial Top Performer – Barangay Pagas, Cabanatuan City • Provincial 2nd Placer – Barangay Caimito, Palayan City Municipality Category • Provincial Awardee – Barangay Pesa, Bongabon • Provincial 2nd Placer – Barangay Canaan East, Rizal • Provincial 3rd Placer – Barangay San Roque, San Isidro • Provincial 4th Placer – Barangay Pinagpanaan, Talavera • Provincial 5th Placer – Barangay Población Centro, Aliaga • Provincial 6th Placer – Barangay Población East, General Tinio • Provincial 7th Placer – Barangay San Andres II, Quezon 2025 Local Legislative Awards (LLA) Provincial Top Performers (under the Term 2022–2025) City Category • Sangguniang Panlungsod, Science City of Muñoz 1st–3rd Class Municipality Category • Sangguniang Bayan of San Antonio 4th–6th Class Municipality Category • Sangguniang Bayan of Llanera The recognition ceremony highlighted the province’s commitment to strong environmental governance and excellent local legislation, showcasing the dedication of barangays and sanggunians in advancing good local governance in Nueva Ecija.
