In the pursuit of fostering data-driven, innovative and responsive local governance, the Graduate School of Public Administration from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) and the DILG Nueva Ecija converged for an exploratory meeting on June 30, 2025 at DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial Office to discuss a potential collaboration on the extension project: “PA-ANGAT: Resilient Barangay Leadership in VUCAD World.”

Leading the presentation were key personnel from NEUST: Dr. Rosemarie R. Casimiro, dynamic Dean of the College of Public Administration and Disaster Management; Dr. Ofelia M. Bawan, dedicated Head of the Learning and Development Office; Dr. Vilma B. Ramos, experienced Program Chair of Public Administration; and Dr. Marivic N. Villegas, passionate Director of the Extension Services Department.

Together, they outlined a clear vision to empower barangay officials through leadership training, policy guidance, and participatory governance efforts towards resilient barangay leadership in a volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous and diverse (VUCAD) world. Follow-through meetings will ensue to discuss the program in detail including its specific requirements and implementation mechanism.
