
On October 23, 2025 | The Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) of DILG Nueva Ecija conducted the Gender and Development for Diverse, Altruistic, and Yielding-Knowledge (GAD DAY) DILG NE Personnel at Capstone Events Place, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. It was spearheaded by Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, GFPS Executive Committee Chairperson of DILG NE.
The said event was facilitated by two (2) esteemed resource speakers. LGOO VI Maria Christine M. De Leon, LPT, a Certified National GAD Resource Pool Member of the Philippine Commission on Women from DILG Norzagaray, Bulacan who discussed the topics on Gender Equality, Diversity, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), Awareness on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Gender Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) and Gender Sensitivity Training.
Also, LGOO VI Niña Katrina N. Barroga, CPA, EnP of DILG San Isidro, Nueva Ecija who conducted an introductory lecture on Gender Mainstreaming and Analysis Tools.
Among the participants were the DILG NE personnel who plays a vital role in ensuring a unified direction for the Department's priorities through a gender mainstreamed approach. The knowledge acquired in the activity is relevant in the adoption of a gender-inclusive perspective across different types of programs, projects and activities, promoting inclusivity, raising awareness and creating an office environment where all employees, regardless of gender, feel safe and valued.
