The Local Government Unit of San Leonardo, in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), inaugurated the newly installed 19-unit solar streetlights along Santiago Boulevard, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija.
The project came to fruition through the FY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) — an incentive granted by the DILG to support the priority projects of LGUs conferred with the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
The inauguration was led by Hon. Mayor Niña Pauline N. Joson and graced by Dir. Araceli A. San Jose, CESO III, Regional Director of DILG Region III, and Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, Provincial Director of DILG Nueva Ecija.
The project aims to reduce road accidents and enhance the municipality’s economic activities by providing safer and well-lit road access for residents and motorists during nighttime.
