LGSF Utilization Status
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Nueva Ecija, under the leadership of Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, spearheaded the Provincial Assessment Committee (PAC) in conducting the Provincial Table Validation for the 2025 Barangay Environmental Compliance Audit (BECA) on September 17, 2025.
The PAC was composed of the DILG, the DENR-Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, the Provincial Government and Natural Resources Office, and civil society organization.
Before the deliberations to identify the province’s best-performing barangays under the city and municipal categories, the DILG Nueva Ecija BECA Team provided the PAC with an orientation on the 2025 BECA guidelines.
The BECA was developed by DILG Regional Office III as a mechanism to assess and recognize barangays for their compliance with the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 (RA 9003), in support of the continuing rehabilitation of Manila Bay.
