As part of the country’s digital transformation agenda, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Nueva Ecija, headed by Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region III, officially launched system training and setup for the electronic Local Government Unit (eLGU) System in the Municipality of Peñaranda.
Recognized as one of digitally ready LGUs in Central Luzon, Peñaranda has undergone comprehensive administrative training focused on system configuration, administrative protocols, and operational procedures for the eLGU System. The sessions aimed to ensure smooth implementation and effective user adoption of key components, including the Business Permit and Licensing System (BPLS), Electronic Local Civil Registry (eLCR), Electronic News (eNews) and Electronic Community Tax Certificate (eCedula).
Participants include local functionaries and staff from the Business Permit and Licensing Office, Municipal Treasurer’s Office, Information and Technology Unit, and Local Civil Registry Office.
The eLGU is a system developed by the DICT as part of the national government’s efforts to modernize and digitize local government services. It seeks to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and transparency in the delivery of public services to citizens and businesses.
