LGSF Utilization Status
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Nueva Ecija successfully underwent Gender and Development (GAD) Seal Onsite Assessment on October 20, 2025, at the DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial Office, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
The GAD Seal Certification Program serves as an incentive and recognition mechanism within the Department to promote, assess, and institutionalize gender mainstreaming efforts across all DILG offices.
The assessment was spearheaded by the Regional Assessment Team composed of ITO I Melerie G. Pineda, Planning Officer III Jairo Elysse D. Singian, En.P., and LGOO IV Julius S. Leyva, who evaluated DILG Nueva Ecija’s compliance with the standards of the GAD Seal Certification Program as outlined in DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2025-024.
The audit focused on key areas such as the functionality of the GFPS, the establishment of a functional GAD database, and the implementation of gender-responsive programs and best practices, among others.
In his welcome remarks, Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, expressed his appreciation to the Regional Assessment Team and underscored the Province’s continued commitment to enhancing gender responsiveness in its operations, programs, and policies.
LGOO III Maria Gabriela Isabel C. Bernardez and LGOO II Millicent Kaye I. Velasquez, Provincial GAD Focal Persons, facilitated the presentation of the Means of Verification, demonstrating the Office’s gender mainstreaming efforts and initiatives. Also present were the members of DILG Nueva Ecija's GFPS.
