In continuous support to the implementation of the KALINISAN (Kalinga at Inisyatiba para sa Malinis na Bayan) sa Bagong Pilipinas Program and as one of the mandamus agencies and provinces tasked to clean-up, rehabilitate and preserve the Manila Bay including its tributaries, the DILG Nueva Ecija, under the leadership of Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac Jr., CESO V, spearheaded a clean-up drive at Barangay San Roque, San Isidro, Nueva Ecija.
The activity was graced by Mayor Florentino C. Tinio together with Municipal Administrator Mary Grace T. Cariño, LGOO VI Niña Katrina N. Barroga, Mr. Joseph Reyes of the National Irrigation Administration, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office personnel led by Ms. Darla Rae D. Lopez, Mr. Raul Santiago of Labrador Irrigators Association, and barangay officials and functionaries of Brgy. San Roque led by Punong Barangay Rolando C. Tinio.
In his message, Mayor Tinio expressed his gratitude for the invaluable support of the participants and their active involvement in the activity. He also stressed the importance of collective community efforts in maintaining cleanliness and environmental care.
The clean-up drive under the KALINISAN and the Manila Bay Clean-Up, Rehabilitation, and Preservation programs aims to encourage every Filipino to partake in proper solid waste management towards a healthy, safe and clean environment for all.
