LGSF Utilization Status
February 10, 2026—DILG Nueva Ecija graced the inauguration of the newly constructed 45-meter drainage canal along Libis ng Nayon Road in Barangay Poblacion Central. The activity was spearheaded by the Local Government Unit of General Tinio.
The project was made possible through the FY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF)—an incentive program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) that supports priority projects of local government units (LGUs) that have earned the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
The newly constructed drainage canal marks a significant step toward improving local infrastructure and public safety in the municipality, addressing long-standing issues on stagnant, grimy canals and recurring overflow in the area. Designed to deliver long-term benefits to the community, the project will greatly benefit road users, who can now traverse Libis ng Nayon Road without concerns over flood-prone streets.
The ceremony was led by Mayor Sherry Ann D. Bolisay and was also participated in by DILG Nueva Ecija through LGOO VII Danilo C. Rillera, Cluster I Team Leader, who represented Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V. Also present were LGOO VI Edgardo W. Adriano, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer of General Tinio, and provincial personnel from DILG Nueva Ecija.
The inauguration of the SGLGIF-funded project underscores the continued commitment of the LGU of General Tinio to provide safer, cleaner, and more accessible roads for its constituents.
