The DILG Nueva Ecija, under the leadership of Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, conducted a Clean-Up Drive in Barangay San Felipe, Laur, Nueva Ecija. The activity was spearheaded by the DILG Nueva Ecija Manila Bay Focal Team together with the Provincial Office staff, in coordination with LGOO VI Marcelina A. Javier of the DILG Laur Field Office.

Through the partnership and support of Hon. Benjamin A. Padilla, Municipal Mayor; Mr. Melencio Rupac, Jr., Municipal Administrator; Mr. Darwin Mariano, Municipal Environmental and Natural Resources Officer; Hon. Ernesto M. Esteban, Punong Barangay of Barangay Uno; along with local officials and functionaries, the Regional Showcase Barangay for KALINISAN-BARKADA and Manila Bay Clean-Up, Rehabilitation, and Preservation Program (MBCRPP) Clean-Up in the province was successfully carried out.

This initiative forms part of the Department’s ongoing implementation of the MBCRPP, which aims to uphold and sustain the restoration and protection of waterways in adherence to the Supreme Court Mandamus on the Manila Bay Program.

Let us continue working together to clean, rehabilitate, and preserve the waters of Manila Bay toward a cleaner, healthier, and safer environment!
