
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Nueva Ecija Provincial Office, in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Nueva Ecija, conducted a three-day Provincial Roll-Out on the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Module III-B: Uses and Application of CBMS Data in Comprehensive Development Planning (CBMS-CDP) on November 24–26, 2025, at Subic Bay Travelers Hotel, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
The activity, focused on strengthening Local Development Planning using CBMS data, brought together City and Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (C/MPDCs), LGU-CBMS focal persons, and representatives from all 32 LGUs of Nueva Ecija.
In his message, Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac Jr., CESO V, emphasized that planning is a vital process in local development, with CBMS serving as a key source of readily available data for identifying gaps that requires interventions. Atty. Tactac urged the LGUs to fully utilize all available datasets as guide in development planning and in coming up with programs, projects, and activities that deliver meaningful impact to their communities.
The roll-out featured resource persons from PSA Nueva Ecija, Statistical Specialists II Ms. Aphrodite A. Ortiz and Mr. Hilario T. Delos Santos, along with DILG Nueva Ecija’s pool of CDP coaches composed of LGOO VI Niña Katrina N. Barroga, EnP, LGOO VI Leovielyn H. Aduna, LGOO VI Donnabel E. Estipular, LGOO V Kristian Rob D. Santiago, and LGOO V Angelyn B. De Guzman who facilitated the sessions on the step-by-step processes of CDP formulation.
Participants also engaged in hands-on workshops and critiquing sessions facilitated by LGOO VII Danilo C. Rillera, Team Leader of Cluster I, and LGOO VII Louie C. Manarpiis, Ph.D., Team Leader of Cluster II.
By the end of the activity, participants were able to craft their respective LGU action plans, ensuring that insights gained during the roll-out will be translated into strengthened, data-driven governance at the local level.
