Seven more local government units in Pampanga received more than 132 Million Pesos (P132,871,000.00) worth of projects through the Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) Program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
Municipalities of Candaba, Magalang, Masantol, Mexico, Porac, Sta Ana, and Sta. Rita were granted with funds on June 29, 2017 as second batch of municipalities to receive the financial subsidy, along with eleven (11) other LGUs on the first batch of fund release, ranging from 15 to 24 Million Pesos worth of various developmental projects.
Projects included are road construction of core local access road, construction of small water impounding facilities, construction of evacuation facilities, and provision of potable water supply.
"Now that all 18 eligible LGUs were provided with funds to augment their socio-infra development projects, we will now start on closely monitoring the implementation thereof. To date, the Province has a good performance with more than half of project implementation of most of the first batch of LGU beneficiaries," DILG Pampanga Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia said in an interview.
Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities is a funding-support program of the DILG which grants financial subsidy to municipalities in the amount of 15Million Pesos plus an amount determined by the size of population of the LGU and its good performance as determined by the DILG in an annual assessment tool.
