The Municipality of Lupao, Nueva Ecija happily received two projects under the Bottom-Up Budgeting for Calendar Year 2014 as two Inauguration and Turn-over Ceremonies were held on April 8, 2015.
Both ceremonies were attended by DILG Region 3 Director Florida M. Dijan and Assistant Director and Provincial Director of Nueva Ecija Abraham A. Pascua with Honorable Lupao Mayor Richard M. Ramos and Vice Mayor Manuel F. Vendivil.
One project was P1M worth of SALINTUBIG (Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig Para sa Lahat) Project by DILG for Barangay Sto. Domingo and another was P10.5M Farm-to-Market by DA Road for Barangays Parista, Salvacion 1st and Salvacion 2nd.
The SALINTUBIG Project will benefit 139 households which used to get their daily water supply from three deep wells and one windmill-powered well from a private sector. These water sources, according to a research made by the Municipal Planning and Development Office of Lupao, were not even safe for drinking. But with the turned over project, safe and potable drinking water is now accessible to residents of Brgy. Sto. Domingo.
Meanwhile, the 1.5km road project will provide ease of travel for the residents and farmers of the three barangays in Lupao. A faster delivery of agri-products from farm to the town proper is now possible to the farmers which will bring big contributions to the agricultural production of the municipality.
