In furtherance to the effort of DILG Region 3 to intensify the system advocacy and achieve an increased number of barangays in the region adopting the Barangay Information Management System (BIMS), a regional virtual orientation on the system, attended by the barangay officials and DILG field officers in the region, was held via Zoom and DILG Central Luzon FB Page live on October 1, 2025. In her message, Regional Director Araceli San Jose encouraged the participants to work hand in hand in advancing digital transformation towards more transparent, more efficient and smarter barangays.

 Meanwhile, ARD Jay Timbreza, in his closing message, likewise urged the barangay officials to establish coordination with DILG officers who can help provide technical assistance in using the system in respective barangay. He further quoted, "When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too".

Resource persons from the Local Government-Monitoring and Evaluation Division (MED) and Regional LGUSS team discussed the guidelines, overview and benefits of the BIMS including a system walk-through of its different sub-modules.

BIMS, developed and offered for free by DILG, is a collection of information systems or sub-modules that would help all the barangays nationwide in their day-to-day operations.
