In a significant move to enhance public service delivery, the Municipality of Samal, together with DILG Region III and DILG Bataan, inaugurated two newly procured service vehicles on July 15, 2024 within the municipal vicinity.
Valued at 2 million pesos and funded by the F.Y. 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF), the new vehicles are expected to greatly improve the efficiency and reach of Samal's public services. Local officials highlighted this acquisition as a major step forward in their continuous efforts to better serve the community.
During the turnover and inauguration ceremonies, DILG Bataan Provincial Director Belina Herman, CESO V, praised Samal's outstanding performance in the SGLGIF program and other assessment initiatives. She emphasized that the municipality's achievements are a testament to its dedication to public service excellence.
DILG Central Luzon Assistant Regional Director Jay Timbreza also lauded the LGU for its impressive municipal hall facade and the high-quality services it provides to the community, despite being a fourth-class municipality.
The event, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts, was attended by key officials, including Mayor Alexander Acuzar, Vice Mayor Ronald Ortiguerra, Sangguniang Bayan Members, department heads, staff from the Municipal Engineering Office, Punong Barangays, MLGOO Haidee Balicolon, Cluster Team Leader LGOO VII Cristy Blanco, Program Manager LGOO VI Danilyn Peña and DILG Bataan LFP team.
