The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation Election unfolded seamlessly across the 13 municipal local government units (LGUs) in Zambales on November 13-14, 2023. This significant event showcased the active participation of SK chairpersons from various barangays in each municipality, adhering to the provisions outlined in Section 21 of RA 10742, as amended.

 In accordance with Section 21 (b) and (c) of the aforementioned law, the organization of the Sangguniang Kabataan at all levels shall conduct an election of key officers, including a president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and other deemed necessary positions. The election day commenced with an orientation in the morning, paving the way for the casting of votes in the afternoon.

Supervision of the electoral process was diligently undertaken by the Board of Election Supervisors (BES), comprising the Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs), Sangguniang Bayan Secretaries, and Commission on Election (COMELEC) Officers. The proceedings were further observed by representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), the academic sector, and Civil Society Organizations.

Following their triumph, the winning SK officials underwent the proclamation and oath-taking ceremony administered by the Local Chief Executives. Moreover, the newly appointed SK Federation President is slated to serve as the ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Bayans, while also becoming an integral part of the SK Provincial Federation through an election scheduled on November 29, 2023.
