In these changing times, the country is beginning to adapt to new technology, making everything more accessible and convenient. On May 19, 2023, the Provincial Government of Tarlac launched Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' and the DILG's Paleng-QR Ph Plus Program in Camiling Public Market, Camiling, Tarlac to jumpstart the transitioning of Tarlaqueños into using hassle-free payment schemes in public markets and even in public transportation.

 Through Governor Susan A. Yap's earnest initiative of introducing Paleng-QR in Tarlac, the micro, small-, and medium-sized enterprises in the Province don't have to spend for pricey point of sale (POS) equipment, and ultimately, both the sellers and the customers are ensured that their hard-earned money is safe and well accounted for. The program also helps local government units (LGUs) become a step closer toward inclusive progress, giving equal economic opportunities without compromising the safety and convenience of our kababayans.

Eventually, with the unceasing support of the Provincial Government, we are positive that more LGUs will replicate this progressive initiative, paving the way for Tarlac to become a Smart Province.The momentous launching is participated in by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, Former Senator Alberto G. Romulo, Vice Governor Carlito S. David, Camiling Municipal Mayor Erlon C. Agustin, DILG Tarlac Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, CESO V, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Angelo Alexis C. Barroga, En.P, DILG Tarlac OIC-Program Manager Henrielle Justeene A. Tuliao, LGOO V Camille Ann N. Transfiguracion, LGOO II Raquel A. Tactac, Local Elected Officials, and representatives from partner Financial Service Providers and National Government Agencies.
