In line with the implementation of Retooled Community Support Program, the DILG Angeles City trained the 9 RCSP target barangays in the city on the formulation of Barangay Development Plan (BDP) on September 20 at the Balibago Conference Room to assist the concerned local officials in ensuring peace and sustainable development.
Prior to the training, DILG Angeles City conducted a consultation workshop with representatives of women, youth and labor sectors to ensure that their primary issues concerning peace and development will be communicated with their respective barangay officials and considered in the local plans.
RCSP is a convergence mechanism for LGUs, particularly in the barangay for the identification of issues and needed government interventions. Part of the suggested activities of the program is capacitating the target barangays on the crafting of barangay development plan to ensure the sustainability of efforts to attain positive peace.
