To support the successful implementation of the Retooled Community Support Program (RSCP), DILG Bataan facilitated the conduct of a seminar-workshop on barangay development planning for the 26 RCSP target barangays of the province on September 22-23, 2022 at Subic Grand Harbour Hotel.

 The main topic presented was the basics of drafting a Barangay Development Plan (BDP) to improve the barangay officials' skills in crafting a BDP, prioritizing programs and understanding the significance of monitoring and evaluation tools, among others.

The activity also updated the RCSP implementation of the 26 barangays identified as priority areas on the documentary requirements needed to proceed and the standards and guidelines for each project category.

In her message, PD Belina T. Herman expressed her desire to enable the target barangays to become champions by highlighting programs and projects that are geared towards institutionalizing sustainable peace and development in their community.

For the province of Bataan, a total of 26 barangays, from 1 city and 8 municipalities (Balanga City, Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Mariveles, Morong, Orani, Orion, Pilar and Samal) will be proposing programs and receiving funds for the realization of their priority projects that they have identified to answer their pressing development needs.

LGOO V Johnny Mandocdoc facilitated the discussion on enhancing their BDPs by integrating strategies and activities that will cater to the priority programs and governance needs of these barangays.

Program Manager Allan Don Malonzo likewise presented the 2021 and 2022 BPOC and BADAC Audit results, an integral assessment for barangays in sustaining peace in the community.

The meeting also included a discussion on the tracking and monitoring of the RCSP phases and the implementation and preparations for the Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP), which was discussed by LGOO II Mark Angelo Pumares.

Present during the activity are the Punong Barangays, Brgy. Kagawad, barangay secretaries or treasurers, the concerned C/MLGOOs and personnel from Bataan Police Provincial Office and the Philippine Army who also provided support and technical expertise in implementing RCSP activities.
