The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), and the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) convened jointly on June 24, 2022 to conduct the 2nd quarter regular meeting for the year 2022 at the Balagtas Hall, Hiyas ng Bulakan Convention Center, Malolos City, Bulacan.
Discussed during the meeting were the accomplishments, issues, interventions, and ways ahead on the following areas: illegal drugs; criminality; internal peace and security; poverty reduction, livelihood, and employment against insurgency; and peace and order program. Likewise, the DILG Provincial Office highlighted the results obtained by the province, cities, and municipalities in the recently concluded 2019 and 2021 Peace and Order Council (POC) Performance Audit and 2021 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit.
In his message, Governor Daniel R. Fernando urged the collaboration of concerned national government agencies to further assist the local government units in curbing illegal drugs. DILG Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia assured the Provincial Government of Bulacan on the commitment and thrust of the department in assisting the LGUs in the fight against illegal drugs, especially in capacitating the elected local officials to strengthen the drug clearing programs in the barangays.
During the meeting, a plaque of appreciation from Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity and Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security - Region III, was handed by PD Apostol-Fabia to the Bulacan Provincial Task Force ELCAC. The plaque was given in appreciation of the active participation of the Bulacan Provincial Task Force ELCAC, headed by Governor Daniel Fernando, in pursuing Philippine Peace Process and strong resolve to work for peace.
