DILG Angeles City, PNP and other stakeholders entered into a Memorandum of Agreement strengthening the adoption of Kapulisan, Simbahan and Pamayanan (KASIMBAYANAN) on June 24 at Camp Lt Tomas J. Pepito, Brgy. Sto. Domingo to develop an approach responsive to the deterrence of terrorism, local criminality, and other security and public safety issues.
DILG-Angeles City Director Darwin D. David, PCOL Diosdado C. Fabian, and representatives of faith-based organizations and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), anti-crime groups, academe, and other stakeholders participated in a covenant signing solidifying their commitments and support to KASIMBAYANAN.
City Director David, during his message, emphasized that the role of each member of the KASIMBAYANAN is vital for the transformation of the mindset of the citizens to become cooperative with the peace and order programs of the government.
KASIMBAHAYAN aims to strengthen peace and order and public safety in Angeles City more effectively by harmonizing the efforts of the signing parties. A Technical Working Committee (TWC) will also be created for the endeavor to coordinate with communities/barangays for data-gathering, action planning and implementation of activities in line with the Retooled Community Support Program in order to intensify social awareness on crime prevention, prevent communism, insurgency and terrorism, and contribute to community development and social welfare.
