The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales headed by Provincial Director Martin Porres B. Moral held an interfacing meeting with the DILG-hired contact tracers at the DILG Zambales Provincial Office on June 17, 2022. This was aimed to strengthen their roles and responsibilities in their assigned LGUs.

PD Moral shared his experience in supervising the contact tracing efforts in his previous assignment at Angeles City, Pampanga where he puts standard on monitoring the COVID-19 situation and implement infection prevention and control measures accordingly.

"Ang ating mga contact tracers ay hindi lamang gumaganap bilang contact tracers but at the same time they are performing task na DILG mandated" PD Moral added as he emphasized that the Department serves as a linking team between the National Government Agencies and Local Government Units.

Likewise, CT Admin Steceanne D. Dullon discussed the new reporting mechanism that will be used by the CTs in ensuring that their efforts are maximized in delivering basic public service.

A conversation cafe was facilitated by PD Moral, where every CTs reported the current status of COVID 19 cases in their LGUs. Further, they also shared their different kind of activities beyond their duties as contact tracers.

DILG hopes that the concerted efforts among LGUs and contact tracers will continue in order to control the most infectious disease outbreaks.
