DILG Pampanga, through its 21 field offices, assisted in the implementation of the Pantawid Pasada Program spearheaded by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) with the conduct of meetings with presidents of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) around the province.
Under the program, City and Municipal Mayors are enjoined to come up with a validated list of qualified tricycle drivers who will receive fuel subsidy from the government. Said subsidy is one way for the government to help cushion the impact of the recent oil price hike especially among the most vulnerable groups.
The validated list of qualified tricycle drivers shall be submitted to the DILG Regional Office and will be used as basis for the distribution or payout to qualified beneficiaries.
