The Municipality of Subic's Municipal Awards Committee (MAC) spearheaded the annual search for the municipality's best performing Lupon Tagapamayapa (LT) on February 23, 2022 at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall.
The MAC was chaired by Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Kristine Joy B. Pesimo, Municipal Trial Court (MTC) respresentative Ma. Magdalena Asinas, Liga ng mga Barangay President Rowena Sawey, Police Major Noel Sitjar and Civil Society Organization (CSO) representative Cleo Deveraturda.
The activity primarily aimed to determine the top performing Lupong Tagapamayapa in the municipality— for subsequent endorsement to the provincial awards committee (PAC) — and shall serve as the municipal entry for the 2021 Lupon Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA).
The committee facilitated the review of documents, as well as the panel interview amongst the LTs from the sixteen (16) barangays— all represented by the Punong Barangay as lupon chairperson, Barangay Secretary as lupon secretary, and one lupon member.
The Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives and Awards (LTIA) is an awards and incentives strategy of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). The assessment for LTIA is carried-out yearly to assess, upscale, recognize, incentivize, and sustain the performance of all Lupong Tagapamayapa— recognizing their indispensable role in maintaining peace and order at the grassroots— as well as in declogging the courts from voluminous cases being filed that may potentially be solved initially right at the barangay level.
