The DILG Bulacan in coordination with the DILG Regional Office III and Provincial Public Health Office of Bulacan, oriented the Barangay Health Response Teams and DILG hired contact tracers on the implementation of Alert Level Systems on November 19, 2021 via Zoom Application.
The province of Bulacan is one of the pilot areas in the implementation of the new Alert Level System for COVID-19. The following is the decision matrix in determining alert level status of an area:
Alert level 1: Areas where case transmission is low and decreasing, total bed utilization rate, and intensive care unit utilization rate is low.
Alert level 2: Areas where case transmission is low and decreasing, healthcare utilization is low, or case counts are low but increasing but total bed utilization rate and intensive care unit is increasing.
Alert level 3: Areas where case counts are high and/or increasing, with total bed utilization rate increasing utilization.
Alert level 4: Areas where case counts are high and/or increasing with total bed utilization rate and ICU utilization rate are at high utilization.
Alert level 5: Areas where case counts are alarming, with total bed utilization rate and ICU utilization rate and critical utilization.
Currently, the Province of Bulacan is under Alert level 2.
In his opening remarks, PD Darwin D. David thanked everyone participating the activity and enjoined them to support the ongoing vaccination program in the Province of Bulacan.
During the activity, updates on the Province's vaccination program and COVID-19 situation was also presented. Policies and Protocols for returning Overseas Filipinos (OFs) and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to their respective cities/municipalities were also reiterated.
