With the key role of assisting the President in the exercise of general supervision over LGUs, the DILG strongly believes in the continuous enhancement of its human resources, through various capacity development interventions, to be more responsive to the robust demands of good local governance.
One of the capacity development interventions for Local Government Operations Officers (LGOOs) is the Apprenticeship Program for LGOOs II and III (formerly Induction Training for LGOOs II and III). It is a competency-based training program conducted by the Local Government Academy (LGA), in partnership with DILG Regional and Sub-Regional Offices.
Also, one of the six (6) components of the said program is the Supervised Field Work (SFW) where the apprentices are assigned in an LGU considered to be high performing and responsive to the programs of the Department and the National Government.
In preparation for the SFW, DILG R3 conducted an Orientation on May 26, 2021 via Zoom Cloud Application. This is to present the salient features of the guidelines specifically the duties and responsibilities of all concerned officers during the two (2) month SFW.
In attendance were the members of the Training Management Team, LGRRC Manager, SFW Coordinator, concerned Provincial Directors & Municipal Local Government Operation Officers (SFW Supervisors).
