Even with the limitations of the pandemic, the DILG Pampanga has not stopped seeking creative strategies to cultivate a learning culture in the organization as a way to improve the overall performance of the team.
Integrating learning activities with the everyday hustle, the Provincial Office conducted yet another initiative dubbed SKIT (Skills and Knowledge Internal Transfer) on May 7, 2021 to reacquaint the PO staff and field officers on the basics and technicalities of conducting online meetings using commonly used applications such as Zoom and Google Meet.
PD Myrvi Apostol-Fabia noted the importance of these kinds of activities as part of the team's continuous capacity building to fully adapt to the new normal way of doing things.
"We are already in the digital era and it is inevitable that we adopt the technology available to ensure that our work remain unhampered. It's also one way for us to remain connected with each other despite the distance and restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 situation," she said.
The discussion was led by LGOO II Ladislao Puno and was followed by a hands-on activity wherein participants were encouraged to explore the different functionalities of the application and learn how to use these features appropriately especially when hosting a video conference or virtual meeting.
Video conferencing etiquette was also presented to the participants highlighting the Do's and Don'ts when attending virtual meetings.
