In response to growing concerns over the rising active cases in the province, DILG Pampanga called an emergency meeting on April 19, 2021 with all the Field Officers to calibrate and validate the status of isolation facilities in all 21 cities and municipalities particularly the number of accommodated patients in said facilities, active cases per LGU and the top three barangays per LGU with the highest Covid-19 cases.
During the discussion, DILG Provincial Director Myrvi Fabia asked the field officers to provide the actual scenario in their respective jurisdictions and the current challenges encountered by the LGU including the handling of active cases in the community as well as the functionality of isolation facilities.
To support Governor Dennis Pineda's call for cooperation and prompt action to drastically reduce the spread of the virus in the locality, PD Fabia said that the reports from the emergency meeting will form part of the Provincial Office's update to the Office of the Governor to sound off what's going on the ground.
This will in turn help the Provincial Government come up with targeted measures to complement the current efforts of LGUs and augment their capability in accommodating the surge of COVID-19 patients.
