DILG Bulacan visited the ayuda payout in the Municipalities of Guiguinto, Plaridel, and Sta. Maria last April 12, 2021 in line with the presidential directive to provide assistance to low-income individuals affected with the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
By virtue of DILG-DSWD-DND Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 1, S. of 2021, families in the Greater Manila Area were given emergency subsidy or "ayuda" amounting to a minimum of Php 1,000.00 to the maximum of Php 4,000.00. Stated in the JMC are the guidelines for LGUs to adopt in distributing the financial assistance to the target beneficiaries.
PD Darwin David, in his message, reminded the constituents to always abide with the health protocols since a public gathering is inevitable in the Ayuda Payout in every barangay. "Panatilihin ang pagkakaisa kahit may distansya," he said. He also emphasized the willingness of the national agency to extend assistance to the needy Filipinos and in return, our discipline in cooperating with different government initiatives is crucial to the attainment of positive outcome such as the distribution of financial assistance or "ayuda" for all Bulakenyo beneficiaries.
The team interviewed the local officials and functionaries with respect to their strategy in preparation and implementation on the 15-day deadline of distribution as stated in the JMC. The presence of Joint Monitoring and Inspection Committee was also scrutinized to validate the preparation to the actual distribution.
Present in the said visit are DILG Region III Assistant Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza, CESO V, of the DILG Regional Office, DILG Bulacan Provincial Director Darwin D. David, CTL/LGOO VII Jose Algy B. Canlas, and LGOO II Gerald R. Cabarles, Jr., of the Provincial Office together with the MLGOOs of the said LGUs.
