DILG Pampanga's celebration of Women's Month culminated today, March 30, with an inspiring exchange of stories that put focus on the strength and resilience of women and men who surmounted adversities to create work-family balance in the time of pandemic.
The virtual activity brought together members of the LGUs' GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) DILG Pampanga's field officers and Provincial Office personnel to celebrate the significant contributions made in advancing and raising awareness on gender and development.
Invited to share their inspiring stories during the HE/R Story Session were Ma. Cristina Galang, executive director for Academic Affairs of JOCSON College; LGOO VII Jose Algy Canlas, Cluster Team Leader of DILG Bulacan; and DILG Pampanga's own LGOO VI Jacqueline Tallada. Meanwhile, Cluster Team Leader Lydia Baltazar gave an orientation on Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) in the earlier part of the activity.
In her message, PD Myrvi Apostol-Fabia acknowledged the unflappable Juanas of DILG Pampanga whose determination and courage in the face of difficult situations has helped the team sail through. She also recognized the important role of each one – women and men – in sustaining the performance of the Provincial Office and encouraged everyone to continue the good fight.
